Prime Minister visits Premier League Primary Stars programme in India

We were delighted to welcome Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty to see the Premier League Primary Stars programme in action as part of their visit to India for the G20 Leaders' Summit.

During a visit to the British Council in Delhi, the UK Prime Minister and his wife attended a session delivered by teachers trained within the Premier League Primary Stars programme in India.

Premier League Primary Stars provides teachers with world-class coaching training and learning resources for physical education and personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education, using the power of football to help children be active and develop essential life skills.

Premier League Primary Stars builds on the successful partnership between the Premier League and British Council of delivering the Premier Skills programme in 29 countries, reaching 6,500+ community coaches and 111,000+ young people across India since 2007.

The Primary Stars programme in India also builds on the Premier League’s achievements of delivering the programme to over 19,000 primary schools in England and Wales since 2016.
